Stuart Wells, Chairman of the Board
Stuart Wells is the chairman of the board of ScaleMP. Prior to joining ScaleMP, Wells was the senior vice president and president, Global Communications Solutions at Avaya. In this role, Wells lead the design and development of Avaya's communications and contact center products and software portfolio. His responsibilities included leading overall development investments, identifying business development opportunities in emerging technologies and development and execution of the group business plan.
Wells joined Avaya in January 2007 from Sun Microsystems, where he served for almost 19 years. Wells held a series of senior leadership roles, with a particular focus on software and on-demand/cloud computing. As executive vice president of Utility Computing, Wells brought to market the first $1/cpu/hour compute and $1/GB/month storage utility/cloud computing offers in 2005 . He was also senior vice president of eCommerce applications, middleware and communication products during the Sun/Netscape alliance. Wells also held roles leading the Market Development organization and the Network Software Product Group, as well as a sales role leading the Financial Services vertical organization in New York.
Wells received a B.S. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, an M.S. in Digital Techniques, and a Ph.D. in Video and Image Compression, all from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He also holds an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University. Wells hold five US patents in the areas of 3D graphics, image processing and video compression.

Shai Fultheim, Founder and President
As founder and President of ScaleMP, Shai designed and architected the core technology behind ScaleMP and is, and is now responsible for its strategy and direction. Shai has more than 15 years of experience in technology and business roles in IT and venture backed firms. Before founding ScaleMP, Shai was CTO of BRM Capital, a first-tier Israeli venture-capital fund. Shai defined the fund's technology roadmap, which formed the foundation of BRM's investment strategy.
Prior to BRM, Shai was co-founder, CTO, and VP R&D at several technology startups. He has also served in the Israeli Defense Force's prestigious central intelligence unit, where he led a large IT organization of hundreds of engineers and programmers. Shai managed a broad range of complex IT projects in the areas of security, systems and network infrastructure and knowledge management, gaining significant experience in the domain of scalable computing and large-scale IT infrastructure.
Shai has been an active member of several open source initiatives such as Apache, Jakarta Tomcat, Amanda and the Linux kernel.
Shai holds a Bachelor of Technology and Applied Science from the Jerusalem College of Technology.

Barry Eggers, Managing Director, Lightspeed Venture Partners
Barry is a founder of Lightspeed and focuses primarily on investments in the areas of infrastructure technologies, communications and networking, digital media and semiconductors. He has 11 years of venture capital experience and ten years of operating experience.
Prior to joining Lightspeed, Barry held senior business development and operational roles at Cisco Systems from 1991-1997. While at Cisco, Barry was responsible for establishing several of the company's largest distribution channels with OEMs, system integrators and VARs. Also at Cisco, he developed the initial merger and acquisition process and directed the first wave of Cisco's acquisitions and integrations.
Barry has been named multiple times to the Forbes Midas List of top venture capital investors.
Barry holds a BA in Economics and Business from UCLA and an MBA from Stanford University.

Benny Hanigal, Partner, Sequoia Capital
Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 2001, Benny was a Partner in Star Seed, a German - Israeli Venture Fund where he led the investment activities in Israel and abroad. Before establishing Star Seed in 1998, Benny had founded Lannet in 1985, and served as its President and CEO until it merged with Madge Networks in 1995, where he continued to serve as a Senior VP for Product Development and Marketing. In 1993, Benny co-founded Alvarion (ALVR), formerly known as BreezeCOM, and served as its chairman until 1999. Benny received his EE degree from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology - in 1971.

Mark J. DeNino, Managing Director, TL Ventures
Mark's venture capital experience began in 1981, when he helped launch a biomass venture backed by General Electric's venture capital group (now Canaan Partners) using technology developed at the University of Pennsylvania. He followed that start-up by joining Ecogen, a Princeton-based microbial pesticide venture funded by Domain and Vista Ventures, which later went public.
In 1986, Mark joined Fidelity Bank to start up and head up a corporate finance activity there. While at Fidelity, Mark also started an S.B.I.C., Fidelcor Capital, to invest in early stage technology companies. After a brief stint at a local financial services firm, Mark joined TL Ventures in 1994.
Mark graduated with a B.S. degree from Boston College and an M.B.A. degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

Scott Yaphe, Partner, ABS Ventures
Scott Yaphe is a Partner at ABS Ventures, a Boston-based venture capital firm. At ABS, he focuses on software, communications and infrastructure opportunities. He serves or has served on the board of directors of Synchronoss Technologies (Nasdaq: SNCR), Workbrain (TSX: WB), IQ Financial Systems (acquired by Misys) and DAFCA. Prior to joining ABS Ventures, Scott was Director of Corporate Development at Saraide, a wireless software provider that was acquired by Infospace.
Scott received his MBA from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University.
